Areolar connective tissue is one of the form of connective tissue.

  • It founds around the blood vessels, nerve bundles, muscles and organs.
  • It connects skin with the bones.
  • This tissue is found in the layers of skin.
  • Also found in the organs of the body.
  • Three types of fibres in the areolar tissue are : collagen fibers, elastin fibers, and reticular fibers.
  • Areolar connective tissue is made up of cells and matrix.
  • These tissue are spread throughout the body.
  • Fibroblast is the common cell mostly found in the areolar tissue.
  • It fills the space between the muscle fibres.
