air--》nostrills--->throat---->lungs
1.Nostrils-filtered by fine hairs ad lining of mucus is also there.
2.Throat--rings of catilage are presnt which ensure that air passage dont collapse.
3.Lungs- aleveoli are te balloon like structures. and it provide surface where exchange of gases takes place.
blood brings co2 from body and release into alveoli,then o2 is tàken up by blood in the alveolar blood vesseles.

Hii..
Respiration is the process of acquiring oxygen from outside the body and use it in the process of breakdown of food sources for cellular needs.
1.The energy produced during respiration is stored in the form of ATP molecules in the cells of body. (ATP is substance called Adenosine Tri-Phosphate.)
2.Respiration is of two types:-
a) Aerobic respiration-The respiration which uses oxygen is called aerobic resporation.In this,the glucose food is completely broken down into CO2 and H2O by oxidation.Mitochondria is the site of aerobic respiration.
b)Anaerobic respiration-The respiration which takes place without oxygen is called anaerobic respiration.In this,the microorganisms like yeast breaks down glucose into ethanol(C2H5OH) and CO2 and release energy.It produces much less energy than aerobic respiration.
