The long series of political Revolution started by the French Revolution in 1987 were the immediate cause for emergence of sociology. The French Revolution which occurred in 1987 marked a turning point in history of human struggle for equality and freedom. It put an end to the age of feudalism and introduced new order to society. Ideas of liberty, equality and democracy which form a part of the preamble to the constitution of India, had their origin in the French Revolution.
