Acids:
1.>Acids are sour in taste.
2.>Acid is known as a 'proton donor' because it carries +ve charge with it.
3.> Ex:Milk contains lactic acid
Bases
1.>Bases are bitter in taste and soapy to touch.
2.>Base is known as a 'proton acceptor' because it carries negative charge on it.
3.>In NaOH OH- acts as a base
Salts:
1.>Salt is defined as a compound formed by the complete or incomplete replacement of the hydrogen ion of an acid by a basic radical.
2.>A normal salt is formed by the complete replacement of the hydrogen ion.
3.> NaOH as a whole works as a salt
