Here is ur answer :

Cardiac muscles are found in the heart and show the characteristics of both smooth and striated muscles.

Cardiac muscles are composed of branched fibres and the branches join to form a network.

The nucleus is centrally located and single.

The intercellular space of cardiac muscle are filled with abundant loose connective tissue supplied with blood capillaries.

These muscle fibre show densely stained cross- bands called intercalated discs.

FUNCTIONS OF CARDIAC MUSCLES :

1. Cardiac muscles contract and relax rapidly, rhythmically and tirelessly throughout life

2. The contraction and relaxation of heart muscles help to pump and distribute blood to various parts of the body.
