The drawbacks:-

1) one of the biggest drawback of permanent settlement was thier higher level of revenue demand.
2)because of very high level of revenue demand, many zamindars are not able to fullfil bristish demand.
3)rebels in poona occur because of permanent settlement and it spread over 600 km.
