Gajapati is a biggest and the most intelligent Shikar elephant in Asia. He was a gentle animal. He liked Karim and his little son so much. Once Karim’s wife went out to fetch water leaving her baby at home. By then, three hyenas came out from the burrow hearing the baby’s cry.
Gajapati was tied in a mango tree. He smelt the hyenas and pulled the chain on his leg angrily and he had a cut on his leg too. The hyenas moved in closer and stamped one among them to a pulp and the other two ran away from rescue.
