The Brook appears to be a symbol for life which becomes the central theme of the poem.various instances that can be parallel between Brook and life.the brook is a small stream that is born in some mountain it grow bigger and stronger in the course of its journey it make so many types of sounds as it flows through the pebbles it's movement care also varied the Brook represents life of human in general both have an origin a middle stage and end .

Helen considered it a rare privilege to have such a man of Genius like Bishop Brooks. As a child , Helen would sit on his knee and miss Sullivan would spell "God in her hand ". Bishop Brooks gave Helen a real sense of joy in life and Helen always learn fine thought , in every meeting she had with him he taught Helen that there was only one Universal religion the religion of love . he imparted a very fine message to Helen that if one loves the heavenly father with whole heart and love each child of god, then there lies the key to heaven.
