It so happened that 3 months later Ali's death ,the postmasters daughter became unwell. He was anixously waiting for the news of his sick daughter who was living in another town.he was unable to sleep that night due to anxiety and one night's concern for his daughter had made him realise the sense and pain of Ali who had been waiting for a letter from his daughter for 5 years.he came to the office early morning in hope of getting letter, after a short while he heard a knocking on the door.he opened the door and saw Ali leaning on his stick with tears his face.he cried come in brother ali ,handing Mariam's letter to him saw a strange light in Ali's eyes whicade him shrank back in fear and astonishment .
