LED is usually used as lighting source of modern solar street light, as the LED will provide much higher Lumens with lower energy consumption. The energy consumption of LED fixture is at least 50% lower than HPS fixture which is widely used as lighting source in Traditional street lights.

• Solar Street Light are those Lights which are powered by the Solar Panels. The Solar Street Lights are generally street lights that having the solar panels attached to it which further attached with a battery.
• The panels are mostly monocrystalline or polycrystalline which having different conversion rates.
• These panels absorb sunlight and convert the solar energy into electrical energy and stored it in the rechargeable battery cell.
• This battery supports the working or proper functioning of the street lamps in the night hours.
• This light requires much less maintenance as compared to the electricity generated lights.
