UNICEF stands for United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund. Among UNICEF's roles are (a) reducing child mortality rate, which comes under young children surviving their initial years from malnutrition, diseases and being able to attend school, and (b) young children not just surviving but having a healthy and productive future, which is ensured by rendering support in providing timely inoculations and vaccinations and providing support in ensuring the launch and furtherance of their education in the formative years.

CEDAW, which has also been set up by the UN, stands for Committee for the Elimination of Discrimination Against Women. It propagates, among other things, (a) elimination of gender inequality and gender-based violence, and (b) strengthening the gender approach and gender neutrality in the police and the judiciary.
