1. Air pollution- this is caused by contamination of hazardous gases, solid particles or smoke in the air. Smoke from factories, fire crackers lead to air pollution.
2. Water pollution- this means mixing of unwanted harmful materials in the water bodies.
3. Soil pollution- this is the degradation of soil quality by mixing of unwanted chemicals in the soil.
4. Noise pollution- this is the increase in sound level generally more than 70 Decibel which may lead to hearing impairment in humans. Noise generated by transport, loud music, plane landing are some causes of noise pollution
5. Radioactive pollution- It means the release of radioactive substances in the environment. these substances are released during nuclear weapons testing, mining of radioactive ores etc.
6. Thermal pollution- it is defined as release of high temperature in the environment. this may be caused by releasing heated water from factories without cooling into the water bodies.
7. light pollution- it is exposure of excessive artificial light in the environment. This excess light can disrupt ecosystems and affect the health of people.
