Explanation:

Constant acceleration means the velocity keeps on increasing constantly that is the increase in velocity per second is same. Also the direction of motion remains the same since acceleration is a vector quantity.

Definition — A body has a constant or uniform acceleration if it travels in a straight line and it's velocity changes by equal amounts in equal intervals of time.

________________________________

In other words, a body has uniform acceleration if it's velocity changes at uniform or constant rate.

Let's take an example, When the velocity of a car increases, the car is said to be accelerating. If the velocity increases at a uniform or constant rate, the acceleration is said to be uniform or constant.

Example/—

  • The motion of a freely falling body.

  • ( Acceleration = 9.8 m/s ) — For a freely falling body.

  • Here, acceleration of the body will be 9.8 m/s.
