india is one of the largest democracy which means the leader is to be chosen by citizens of India the elections are in two types- general and state.
general elections are for prime minister and each party has a representative. every state will be designated a day for the voting in which all 18+ citizens shall vote. the voting booths are mostly in government places. this applies for state elections also called vidhana sabha elections and it is held on one day. the campaigns include orientation to what the party will change an what they will provide. they are on hype and advertisements are on posters, media and radios. the results are announced almost 5 days after the polls.
