Briefly explain alluvial and black soil ?

Black soil=These soils are black in colour and are also known as regur soils. Black soil is ideal for growing cotton and is also known as black cotton soil.The black soils are made up of extremely fine.they are rich in soil nutrients, such as calcium carbonate, magnesium, potash and lime. These soils are generally poor in phosphoric contents.


Alluvial soil=Alluvial soils are those which are formed as a result of deposition of sediments by rivers. Alluvial soils are poor in nitrogen and phosphorus but rich in potash.Alluvial soil is soil which has been built up from uphill soil particles eroded down by wind or rain water run off and carried downstream by river flow.

1) it is a type of soil which is formed by interpretation of three major river Ganga Brahmaputra and



2) it is generally found in Northern plain of India.






3) it is so fertile and highly populated.






4) due to ability of water it is thickly populated and provide a way of cultivation on large scale.





5) it contain Khadar and bhangar.






6) Khadar are new Alluvial soil.






7) bhangar old Alluvial soil.








8) Khadar is more fertile and Bangar is less fertile.






9) Khader have fine particles and Bangar have Kankar nodules in it..




10) soils are alkaline in nature of Alluvial soil.







BLACK SOIL:-





1) BLACK SOIL IS ALSO CALLED REGUR SOIL.
