Anatmavada was actually told by Buddha telling that there was no-permanant phenomenal soul for any individual.
This was against the Jainism thoughts of prescence of aatman ( soul ).
Jains and as proposed by Mahavira's teachings soul is present as an eternal matter for every individual.
Talking about Anatmavada Buddha also told that since there was no universal and a permanant entity ( soul ) thus every individual only has one life to be eternal and attain enlightenment and achieve complete happiness.
This is my thought....If you don't agree then please comments and suggestions are most welcome !!!
