Five characteristics of sound are hereunder:
- Frequency (also known as pitch) – it makes the sound being listened to higher or lower.
- Amplitude – It signifies the loudness of the sound
- Wavelength – The length of one complete wave is called wavelength
- Time Period – The time required to complete one wave cycle or one vibration is called a time period.
- Velocity – Distance traveled by a wave in one second is called velocity
