briefly explain external factors affecting photosynthesis.

rachana: Photosynthesis is influenced by two categories of factors - external or environmental and internal or plant factors.
External Factors
1) Carbon dioxide
Compensation Point or Threshold Value
2) Irradiance or Light intensity
rachana: 3) Temperature 4) oxygen 5) soil water 6) mineral 7) nutrients 8) leaf factor 9)air pollutants

The synthesis of carbohydrates and oxygen by green plants in the presence of sunlight and chlorophyll is known as photosynthesis.
external factors which influence photosynthesis are
Light intensity-mainly from the sun
carbon dioxide concentration- determined by the atmospheric gaseous levels
enzymes
temperature of the surrounding.

Factors which affect Photosynthesis are:
Co₂ Concentration-The concentration of Co₂ ranges from 0.03-0.04%.It is found that ).1% of Co₂ Increases the rate of photosynthesis in considerable amount.
Temperature-An optimum amount Temp.25-35% is required for a good rate of photosynthesis.
Chlorophyll Concentration-this also affect the photosynthesis rate, larger the amount good is the rate.
Water-this also affect the rate as chlorophyll does but it is needed in balanced amount more than that can cause damage to the plant.
hope this will help u.
