corrosion - metals attract substance to acids, water, and air to be etc. said to corrode and this process is know as corrosion

redox means both oxidation and reduction is know to redox

Wecan take example of Fe to proof that, the oxidation reaction

Eg-

Fe+H2o+O2---------->fe2O3. 7H2O

Corrosion is not a Redox reaction it is an Oxidation rxn

in the above example we see that iron is oxidised so corrosion is an Oxidation reaction
