This type of energy is generated by taking advantage of the movement of the tides.

This energy is generated from the movement of the waves.
By means of buoys or floats, the kinetic energy generated by the waves is captured and used to generate electricity.
This type of energy has had great advances in recent years, and has greatly improved in its growth, and the surf is easy to predict and therefore its productivity can increase considerably.
• Maremothermic energy.
The maremothermic energy is less recognized.
Its growth has been slow, especially due to the need to build special plants that are very sensitive to natural disasters. In addition, a difference of less than 20ºC in the sea temperature is required for this type of energy to be profitable.
