During the reign of King Louis 16 the French Revolution took place. It happened in 1789 and lasted for one year. The reasons were- The prices of bread rose, the king increased the taxes, the gap between the rich and the poor widened, the people could not afford essential commodities and so they could not survive like this for long and the french revolution took place
