FEATURES OF TROPICAL EVERGREEN FOREST ARE : i) These evergreen forests are found in warm and wet regions. ii) These are found where the rainfall is more than 200cm, with a short dry season. iii) These are found in the rainy slopes of western ghats,plains of West Bengal and Odisha and the North-eastern India.

(1) These forests are so dense that thick canopies are developed which do not allow the sunlight to penetrate inside the forest.

(2) As there is no particular dry season, the trees do not shed their leaves altogether. This keeps the forest evergreen.

(3) Hardwood trees such as rosewood, ebony and mahogany are found here.
