Despite all the benefits the British offered India, they proved to be very oppressive rulers.The British, at times, gave high taxation for more government power, used India’s money and didn’t pay them back, drained India’s revenues to pay for an extremely expensive bureaucracy, and left Indian people more prone to famines. British Crown rule also had a huge debt to other countries. Because of such negative outcomes of the British rule, many groups in India sought to try to seek independence from them (Kaul 1).

In trains and busses some seats were reserved for the British in which Indians were not allowed travel. They gave low wages to Indian laborers. They drain Indian wealth to England
