Digestion in ruminants accurs seqently in a four chambered stomach . plant materials is initially taken into the rumen, where it is proceed mechanically and exposed to bacteria then can break down cellulose ( foregut formentation)

ruminants do chew their food completely ,but just consume or gulp as much as the could and the swallows it. then the food come back to the mouth and then ruminants chew it peacefully
