the epidermal peel from onion is easy to prepare.
Cut the onion bulb into 4 pieces lengthwise.
From one of these quarters remove one thick scale leaf.
take a freshly scale of onion in your hand and tear it from the inner side so as to give a thin transparent strip.
Using a pair of forceps,remove remove the strips and put it in a watch glass containing water .
now cut a square piece of this deal and mounted on a slide in a drop of water cover the peel with a cover sleep carefully, so that the tissue does not wrinkled examine the preparation under a low-power microscope.
you may as well stay in the material with iodine or eosin solution, which will make the nucleus more distinct...
OBSERVATIONS
the cell of onion peel have a somewhat regular shape linear or rectangular he still has a prominent cell wall
A nucleus and cytoplasm and cycling over too large vacuoles the details are better scene in high power especially the thick cell wall...
