Explanation:

The climate of Asia is dry across southeastern region, with dry across much of the interior. Some of the largest daily temperature ranges on Earth occur in western part of Asia. The monsoon circulation dominates across southern and eastern regions, due to the Himalayas forcing the formation of a thermal low which draws in moisture during the summer. Southwestern region of the continent experience low relief as a result of the subtropical high pressure belt; they are hot in summer, warm to cool in winter, and may snow at higher altitudes.

Answer:

Much of the interior Asia remains in the “rain- Shadow”and dry because the rain bearing winds of maritime origin (originating mostly during the summer) cannot penetrate the mountain barries The “onshore” side of the mountain slopes, on the other hand, receives most of the moisture.
