Briefly explain the role of hydrogen as a reducing agent.

Answer:

a compound can be reduced only if it is separated from oxygen or hydrogen is added to it therefore hydrogen plays a vital role as reducing agent

Ex:

cuo+h2o = cu+h2o

fe+h2o=fe3o4 + h2o
