Hey mate!
Here is the role of stomach.
Food enter through oesophagus to stomach. Stomach has gastric glands for the digestion of food.
Here, First is HCL. ya, stomach release HCl in stomach. The function of HCL is to make the stomach medium acidic and to kill bacteria.
When medium is acidic there is another enzyme pepsin whose function is to digest proteins.
After this, there is also mucus present in stomach. Mucus prevent stomach from HCL because HCl is very acidic.
Then food travels to small intestine.
Hope it may help u...

HI MATE,

THE STOMACH SECRETS ACID AND ENZYMES THAT DIGEST FOOD. RIDGES OF MUSCLE TISSUE CALLED RUGAE LINE THE STOMACH. THE STOMACH MUSCLES CONTRACT PERIODICALLY, CHURNING FOOD TO ENHANCE DIGESTION. THE PYLORIC SPHINCTER IS A MUSCULAR VALVE THAT OPENS TO ALLOW FOOD TO PASS FROM THE STOMACH TO THE SMALL INTESTINE.

HOW THIS HELPS YOU......☺☺☺☺
