- Firstly, silkworm eggs are left to hatch on mulberry leaves.
- Then when these larve or caterpillers hatch they tremendiously eat the mulberry leaves.
- Becuse of exessive eating they grow very very fast.
- Then they produce silk from their mouth and cover their own body so that they can develop inside that cocoon and be a silkmoth.
- But as we have to obtain silk fibre we will put these cocoons in hot water so that the silk fibres separate and then these silk fibres are carefully collected.
