Now there are three kinds of cell references that you can use in Excel: Relative Cell References. Absolute Cell References. Mixed Cell References.
An absolute reference is designated in a formula by the addition of a dollar sign ($) before the column and row. If it precedes the column or row (but not both), it's known as a mixed reference. You will use the relative (A2) and absolute ($A$2) formats in most formulas. Mixed references are used less frequently.

THERE ARE 3 TYOES OF CELL REFERENCE-
1. ABSOLUTE REFERENCE - It is used when we do not want to change the address of the cell while copying the formula to another cell.
2. MIXED REFERENCE - It is a combination of RELATIVE & ABSOLUTE REFERENCES. In thus type of reference, either row or column has to remain fixed.
