Answer:

the history of Bengal dates to ancient times. During the post vedic period, the kingdoms of Anga, Vanga, and Magadha were formed. These kingdoms were located in and around the Bengal region.

Early Bengali literature was divided into two parts : one belonging to Sanskrit and the other belonging to folklores, tales and ballads. The first part included translations of Sanskrit epics, Mangala kavyas and biographies of Chaitanyadeva. The second part included songs of Moynamati and Gopichandra, fairy tales, folk tales and ballads.
