The Zamindari System of revenue was introduced by the British because they felt that investment in land
had to be
encouraged and agriculture had to be improved.This system would help in bringing a regular ow
of
income to the Company and encourage the zamindars to invest in improving the land.
In this system the revenue is fixed and it is collect by zamindars. zamindars have to give the money to British by certain date.If any surplus they can keep with them,but if the farmer could not pay the revenue the zamindar lose his right and right would be given to other zamindar.
