Internal migration:

  • For example: A man or a student migrates from one state to another for better education and occupation with more income
  • Internal migration tends to be travel for education and for economic improvement or because of a natural disaster or civil disturbance.

International migration:

  • International migration is a type of migration where people go abroad (Other countries), for more income and better education, job placement, to visit tourist spots or places of other countries.
  • For example: A person from from India is going to America to visit tourist places.
  • Many people leave their home countries in order to look for economic opportunities in another country.

Rural-urban migration:

Rural-urban migration is  a socioeconomic phenomenon involving the movement of people from rural areas into cities, either permanently or semi-permanently.

At present, it occurs mainly in developing countries as they undergo rapid urbanization.
