Farm animals have a natural tendency to find shade and take shelter under it from the hot sun. However, their bodies have certain natural protective mechanisms also, to get relief from heat and dryness. One is their coat or fur, which provides protection from the sun. Animals found in areas of hot and dry climate, drink plenty of water, which is then stored in their bodies to prevent dehydration. Certain animals keep their mouths open, which is their way of sweating.
