I have recently read Frankenstein written by Mary Shelley. It is regarded as the first science fiction novel containing Gothic elements in it. It talks about an unearthly creature which happens to be a monster who was invented by a scientist. The story also illustrates the issues in acceptance of this creature in the society. People remain afraid of him as he is huge and bulky and had stitches all over his body- neck, skull, hands, etc. Anyhow, reading a science fiction book as such was a terribly ecstatic experience. I was delighted with the minute descriptions of the monster, the beautiful scenery of the land full hills, the concept of strange objects in the society, and the plot which somehow favored the monster. I learned that the involvement of innovation in literary write-ups can bundle up to create a new world of fantasies. This novel motivates me to read more interesting science fiction texts and write a few stories of my own.
