brif discription about animal tissues for class 9
Answers
The cells of nervous tissue are highly specialized and the cells of this tissue are called nerve cells or neurons. Nervous tissue stimulates and transmits the stimulus very rapidly from one place to another within the body. The brain, spinal cord and nerves are composed of the nervous tissue.Animal Tissue - Types, Structure. The animal cells are grouped together to form animal tissues. These tissues vary in their structure, function, and origin. The animal tissues are divided into epithelial, connective, muscular and nervous tissues.
Epithelial:
It is the protective tissue of animal body. The cells are tightly packed, form continuous sheet and have very little or no intercellular spaces. It covers most of the organs. They lie on a delicate non-cellular basement membrane which contain special form of matrix called collagen.
Connective:
The cells of connective tissue are living, separated from each other and are very less in number. Homogeneous gel like intercellular substance called matrix form the bulk of connective tissue. Cells are embedded in matrix.
Muscular:
Muscular tissue consists of elongated cells, also called muscle fibres. This tissue is responsible for movement in our body. Main function of muscular tissues is to provide movement to the body. Muscles contain special proteins called contractile proteins, which contract and relax to cause movement.
Nervous:
The cells of nervous tissue are highly specialized and the cells of this tissue are called nerve cells or neurons. Nervous tissue stimulates and transmits the stimulus very rapidly from one place to another within the body. The brain, spinal cord and nerves are composed of the nervous tissue.
Hope it helps :)
