There will be a reddish-brown deposit on the nails (copper).
The solution will turn from light blue to green.

Heya

When iron nails are placed in a solution containing copper nitrate, after some time we find that there is a change in the colour of the solution.

After one hour, the blue solution turns green.

A brown coating appears on iron nails.

This kind of a reaction is called displacement reaction.

Iron being highly reactive than copper displaces it from it's compound.

Iron nitrate will be formed which marks a green colour
