Griffin was not bothered if he had harmed someone in the fullfilment of what he wanted. He set fire on his land Lord's house because he make him leave house then he also robberies the land Lord's house and later in shops and village that indicatates that Griffin is a lawless person. When he encountered the lady in the inn he threw a chair at her and her husband. The lawless persons are most selfish they don't care about others safety and well being they only care about themselves.
