Bring about the conversion – Benzene to 4-bromonitrobenzene

Heya friend,

To convert benzene into 4-bromonitrobenzene / para - nitrobromobenzene

we'll follow these steps -

1 ) Bromination - We will heat benzene with $Br_{2}$ and anhydrous $FeBr_{3}$ which will give us bromobenzene.

2) Nitration - Now we'll treat the bromobenzene obtained with conc. $HNO_{3}$ and conc. $H_{2}SO_{4}$ to get 4-bromonitrobenzene as the major product.
