A common theme can be : World's be the skull
Through a conversation between an old farmer, a man and his grandchildren, the poet gradually tells a real story of the world war in Spain . One kid finds something ‘large and round’ which was a skull, one of many to be found nearby. poet tells that stop this all or else world will become valunerable to death and skulls and bones would be seen every where . The poem After Blenheim makes us ponder on the purpose and result of a war .
