according to me there are two things funny in this chapter.
1.that tricky do not have any control on his food and he and he eat a lot and he was not even able to walk properly .
2.when Mr Herriot was taking tricky to his clinic Mrs pumphrey quickly put tricki's shirts many of bowls for breakfast lunch and dinner in his car quickly and and she also send in doctor's clinic votka ,eggs meat at all other things so that the tricky can eat them and be healthy

Tricky looked like a bloated sausage due to overeating and lack of exercise yet Mrs. Pumphrey thought he was suffering from malnutrition!!
Mrs. Pumphrey sent 2 dozens of eggs and bottles of wine for Tricky at the surgery . Obviously the doctor wouldn't give him because he could gain weight so he and his friends had the items and enjoyed and was tempted to keep tricki as a permanent guest!
