humayun ascended the throne after the death of the first mughal emperor Babur in 1530. He won many battles. But one day after returning from one battle one of his military commander sher shah suri revolted against him and he occupied delhi and agra. Humayun made many attempts to reoccupy them but was unsuccessful. He fought two battles with him and lose both the battles.But one day sher shah died in a gunpowder blast and humayun was successful in reoccupying them but after some days he died when he was walking on the staircase in the library he fell from there and died and was succeded by his son akbar in 1555 ce
