Mitosis and meiosis are the different modes of reproduction.
1) Mitosis is asexual mode of reproduction, while meiosis is sexual mode of reproduction.
2) The new cells produced in mitosis are genetically similar, while in meiosis are different.
3) The number of daughter cells produced are 2 diploid cells, while the number of cells produced in meiosis are 4 haploid cells.
4) The number of divisions in case of mitosis is one, while in case of meiosis, it is two or three.
