While returning from Tirumala and coming down, towards Tirupati , we ,halted at the Deer’s park. There is a wide area of fencing, where many deer’s are caged. After parking our taxi, we approached near the fence. There were herds of spotted deer’s; some were with branched (Stag horns) antlers. These are male deer’s. Those without antlers and relatively shorter in size are female ones. Here female deer’s outnumbered males (Just opposite the male and female ratio of Indian population). Tourists were feeding them, cucumbers, biscuits and whatever eatables they have with them. Dears use to approach near the fence, whenever somebody comes there, as if they are tamed ones .They were eating, whatever was offered to them. It was a treat to watch.. . Seeing the huge number of peoples coming to this place, it should have been well maintained with at least one small cafeteria, serving water, cold drinks and few snacks.The park’s surroundings are not well maintained. Shabby looking main gate with no proper walking gallery around the fence are some of the down points .I could not see any proper instruction- board, showing timing and season to visit this park.There was also no warning, what to feed these animals and what not. I saw peoples feeding whatever they have with them. Some of these eatables may not be good for their stomachs and make them sick My overall experience was very interesting and entertaining.
