The irony in the poem the frog and the nightingale is that when the nightingale sang her original song in her melodious voice ,the jealous frog deliberately does not praise her and sarcastically suggests her to change the musical notes. Later ,towards the end ,after being successful in accomplishing his revenge ,the frog says that the foolish bird should have maintained her originality and creativity .
