In Indian english poetry, modern writers use the word fragmentation to break

the flows of time. They use fragmentation to leave gaps or unfilled form of writing. The major aim of fragmentation is to break the continuous flow of the poetry.

Now coming to Alienation , this word alienation is common in english poetry and is used to refer to deep emotions. It can be attached to a person who had done drastically or the one who need to improve his acting , in either way the word alienation create a sense of intrigue with the personal relation.

Many Indian English poets instill a sense of fragmentation and alienation in their works. Poets like Nissim Ezekiel have a sense of dissociation from the Hindu-Muslim culture in India while still being deeply rooted in it.

Many of these poets have a sense of frustration with their culture and beliefs, and this alienation is clearly depicted in their poems. They have an admiration for western culture and criticism for their own Indian thought process.
