Gender discrimination manifests in many forms in India, right from birth to adulthood.

Fewer months of breastfeeding, below par medical care, insufficient nutrition, lack of prenatal, natal and post-natal care result in girls being more susceptible to illness, having poor health and shorter lifespan.

In cities, women employees face the glass ceiling effect and disparities in pay. Their non-inclusion in the decision-making processes at almost every level is also a widespread phenomenon.

Due to the wide prevalence of the patriarchal social system, a lot of women are still deprived of the right to own ancestral property, which is mostly given to the male child.

"If you want to be safe , do save them .

Do save your future,Do save your need."

Today no field is left , where girls haven't shone. They are twinkling like stars in every field. Sakshi Malik , PV Sindhu , Avni Chaturvedi , Indira Gandhi , Anna Malhotra , Aarti Shah and many more girls like them are great examples of women empowerment.

But do you know , still girls are being killed in the womb of their mothers. On one hand we want daughter in laws for our sons and on the other hand our society is killing the girls . How is it possible , if they are doing so . We must save girls if we want proper balance in society.

Now a days the conditions of girls are somewhat okay but during 1900s their conditions were very grim . They were sent to the heaven just after their births. And if it was not done then they were have to suffer from many problems.

But India is a country where girls are worshipped as Goddess and in the same country the crime rate done against them is too high. They are suffering from many crimes like - Sexual harresment, Rape , Dowry , Domestic Violence etc.

India was known as the Golden Bird when it was having women as it's rulers. Many examples like - Rani Laxmi Bai , Ahilya Bai , Gargi are strong examples of it . They did that work which men were not able to do .

They were too strong than men . They were proud , independent women. They were those Women which we need today .

"Past's Today is Our Present's Need."

We need more girls like them now . We need change in society. And for it we girls will have to take steps . Government is also taking many steps to save girl child. The mistake is not being a girl , the mistake is in the mentality of the society.

Our Present Prime Minister , Shri Narendra Modi has started a policy "Beti Bachao Beti Padhao" from Panipat , Haryana. And yes it is having good effects too. People are working according to it .

But we still need more and more practices regarding it.

So at last only one appeal to all of you :

A mother is the cause of life and a girl is the cause of being a mother . Do save your sister , daughter who is going to serve and care as a mother.
