It is quite true; bringing up teenagers can be both a challenge and fun. Teenagers are kind of extremists. If they like something, they over-like it; if they hate something, they detest it. They need to be handled with lots of care. Most of the time they live in their own dream-world and refuse to live in reality.
In the poem Amanda, Amanda also indulges in day dreaming. Her mother is quite critical of her ways and behavior; she often scolds her. However, Amanda always remains in her dream world.
It is really very challenging to make teenagers behave sensibly.
