Unemployment grew rapidly and poverty took over everything. All resources got deteriorated. Flora and fauna of our nation was destroyed due to poaching.

Positive effects:

The British rule bought with itself administration and on one or the other way united the nation. The Britishers did census and for the first time our country got national borders. Education got westernized and reading and writing got imphasis. The British rule gave the country some of its heritage sites and even Red Fort.
