Answer:The Great depression began in 1029 with a great fall on New York. It continued till mid 1930s. During Depression, Agricultural prices fall down and the production in industry were stopped. Many people became jobless.

India was an exporter of wheat to European countries. When the international prices of wheat crashed because o Great Depression, prices of wheat in India almost fell by 50%. Peasants and farmers were the worst sufferer. While the prices of the crops declined, the govt. refused to reduce the revenue they used to collect.
